Kennedy Kenner Kickoff

Can you stand it?

July 8th, 2008 Posted in Campaign 08 | Print

Before a sitting room audience of approximately 18 people at the Airport Hilton in New Orleans, John kNeely Knennedy told Louisianans that he would like for them to “stand up” and join him in his campaign to do nothing for the state of Louisiana.

The anemia was contagious throughout the room as John did his level best to convince friends, press and those who had accidentally wandered in looking for the free continental breakfast that this long time liberal Democrat was now a “true conservative.”

With that said, there was little in the way of substance from John on the issues of importance, other than an implied opposition to the proliferation of chairs and sofas.

When all was said and done, John left through the back door and boarded his 30ft RV dubbed the “Nonsense Express” that presumbaly has no seats (the shades were drawn preventing confirmation) and started on his way to Baton Rouge.

Stay tuned to Kennedy for Whatever for the latest movements of the intrepid opportunist and in the meantime please enjoy a little road music (though be sure to continue standing).

Nonsense on a Bus!

Never mind that just four years ago he ran for US Senate as “not just another election day Democrat” and forget that he ran for re-election as State Treasurer a mere seven months ago on the slogan that “the job is not done” John Neely Kennedy, political opportunist extraordinaire, will officially kick off his third campaign in four years as a Republican for Senate today.

And you can count on Kennedy for Whatever to be there with up to the minute reports of this daring test of political flexibility.

Marvel. . . as Kennedy attempts to shift his political ideology from liberal to conservative in one single bound.

Gaze in wonder. . . as Kennedy cuddles up to President George W. Bush who he called “cold and mean”, whose opponent he endorsed in 2004 and whose tax policy he called “nonsense on a stick.”

Stare in utter disbelief. . .as one man sheds his principles and sacrifices his character all in the name of political opportunism.

State Republican Party chairman Roger Villere says that John Kennedy “can’t run” from the questions concerning Kennedy’s sacrifice of principles and ideology.

But Chairman Villere didn’t count on John Kennedy running from these questions, in a bus!

November Shame

Today the Republican Party of Louisiana officially endorsed everyone’s favorite party swtiching and principle shedding political opportunist, John kNeely Knennedy, as its candidate for US Senate.

That’s some marriage for a party that just four years ago called John inefficient, ineffective and not ready for prime time. And that’s some feat for John, who just four years ago called himself “not just another election day Democrat” and who tried to mislead voters into thinking he was the actual John Kennedy.

But if unabashed and unashamed political opportunism is any determinate of a healthy realtionship then we are sure that the state GOP and John kNeely Knennedy will have a long and happy life together.

At least, that is, until November.

So in honor of JNK and the LaGOP’s happy day, this one is for you!

Way to blow it, John!

The Associated Press is reporting today that everyone’s favorite party switching, office shopping and all around political opportunist extraordinaire John kNeely Knennedy has the dubious distinction of having ensured the defeat of legislation that he was hoping to pin his political fortunes on.

After weeks and hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on his behalf by a shady out of state group called Americans for Prosperity hoping to tie John with a bill in the state legislature aimed at reforming the process by which non-governmental organizations receive state funds our favorite flighty politician was no where to be found when the bill was being heard.

And yet, it seems he didn’t even need to be in the building to screw up the bill. According to the bill’s actual sponsor, Senator Dan “Blade” Morrish just having his name tied to it was enough.

Killing a reform bill that you didn’t have anything to do with in the first place, now that takes real skill. Way to go John!
