And this guy’s a treasurer????

John kNeely Knennedy, never one to let a little thing like the truth get in the way of his granstanding political opportunism, took it on the chin today after reports that his campaign exaggerated his fundraising reports (exaggerated upwards of course).

For those of you who have not been keeping track at home, Knennedy revised his fundraising numbers (upwards of course) three times over the course of the past week. At first we thought maybe he had forgotten to look under the sofa cushions in his office, so we gave him a pass. The second time we thought maybe he had forgotten to include the return on his deposit for the Knennedy Truckster, so we gave him another pass.

But three times? That starts to get a little, what we might call, Knennedyesque. And sure enough it turns out that it’s not just Knennedy’s political party or principles that can magically change over night-but his fundraising reports as well.

Until he gets caught and smacked for it.

So while John is waiting for the embarassment of this latest gaff (or lie) to wear off perhaps we suggest, for the good of the Louisiana Treasury, that he take a look at the following educational film.
