Way to blow it, John!

The Associated Press is reporting today that everyone’s favorite party switching, office shopping and all around political opportunist extraordinaire John kNeely Knennedy has the dubious distinction of having ensured the defeat of legislation that he was hoping to pin his political fortunes on.

After weeks and hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on his behalf by a shady out of state group called Americans for Prosperity hoping to tie John with a bill in the state legislature aimed at reforming the process by which non-governmental organizations receive state funds our favorite flighty politician was no where to be found when the bill was being heard.

And yet, it seems he didn’t even need to be in the building to screw up the bill. According to the bill’s actual sponsor, Senator Dan “Blade” Morrish just having his name tied to it was enough.

Killing a reform bill that you didn’t have anything to do with in the first place, now that takes real skill. Way to go John!
