Hey wait, where have we seen this before?
June 5th, 2008 Posted in Campaign 08, Ethics, Louisiana, NRSC, Opposition ResearchThe National Republican Senatorial Committee, never ones to let abject hypocrisy get in the way of their own political ambitions put out an interesting communication the other day blasting away at Alasks Senate candidate Mark Begich. The NRSC is accusing Begich of using his office as Anchorage Mayor to serve his own political ambitions.
If memory serves there’s a Louisiana politician out there who the NRSC made a similar charge against, four years ago, when he was running for Senate. But the NRSC seems to have gotten over their anger at this guy for using his office and state funds to further his political career.
In fact, they got over it so much that they recruited him to switch to the Republican party and run for Senate! And never mind that since he switched, old John has kept to his old ways. That is, of course, just John being John.
