Working the angles, Knennedy style
April 27th, 2008 Posted in Campaign 08, Corruption, EthicsJust in case you missed it, John kNeely Knennedy put out a campaign fundraising email (kennedyemail.html) late Friday. And in classic form, eerily reminiscent of part IV of the recently released Republican dossier on the Democrat turned Republican titled “Furthering Kennedy’s Career Through State Funds”, recipients of the fundraising email are directed to a press release issued out of the treasurer’s office where he talks about his support on a issue that seems to have very little (well, nothing really) to do with his job as state treasuer.
Meanwhile, as Knennedy still lacks an official campaign web-site he also seems content to let the official Louisiana government website do the campaigning for him as you can see here:
It’s good to know that Knennedy is not letting his job of treasurer get in the way of his Senate campaign. And while in the past legislators have had to pass laws to keep him from using public funds to promote himself (see the Kennedy Bill, Part IV of the NRSC dossier) John kNeely Knennedy has once again proven that when it comes to using taxpayer funded services to self-promote no one knows the angles like he does.
